I’ve been busy as of late, but I think I’ve caught up with all the news.
Wayne Simmonds is out for 4-6 weeks with a broken wrist, which is a shame, he was doing very well and brought more to the team than just goals and a physical game. He’ll be missed:
In an attempt to keep somebody in the lineup that can throw a few punches, the Leafs signed Scott “Who The F$*k Are You?” Sabourin to a 2-way contract:
Yes, THAT Scott Sabourin:
It’s possible that he draws into the lineup before long, as the team always seems as if they want a rugged player in the lineup.
For tonight it looks as if they’re going with 11 forwards and 7 defenders, as Rasmus Sandin will into the lineup:
That’s a long layoff between games. I wouldn’t expect his minutes to be very high, they may want to ease him back into game action. I’m hoping for a strong showing though. The kid needs to get into a few games to get his groove back.
As for injury news, it appears that Travis Dermott is close to a return, while Joe Thornton won’t be too far behind. Nicholas Robertson and Jack Campbell are a little further off, with Jack Campbell expected to be out the longest.
Frederik Andersen gets that start in goal tonight, Brady Holtby will be between the pipes for Vancouver.
Enjoy the game.
