Game Day Preview

The big story right now is Fraser Minten. GM Brad Treliving had this to say after being asked where Minten was on the depth chart during the summer: There was the ghost roster, Marlies, and “other.” He was in “other.” How this young man progresses is of particular interest to me, as I’ve been begging the … Read more

I’m not going to dive too deep into the game itself. They’ve dug a hole that we all know they can’t dig themselves out of. The hilarious thing is, if I try to picture all of the outcomes from this series, the one that jumps out as being the most Leafy to play out is … Read more

There isn’t much to talk about in terms of the game tonight. Ilya Samsonov is hurt, so Joseph Woll will start the game. He was good last game in relief of Samsonov, but not great. After this season it does appear that he’s ready to be a backup goaltender in the NHL, at least in … Read more

The Leafs are down 0-2 in the series and are being “goalied” by a terrible netminder. They exorcised some ghosts in the 1st round, but with this organization there are so many skeletons in the closet it would have been unreasonable to expect them to break through all of them all at once. That tweet says it all. What I want to know is how they do in playoff game #8. Do they get worse after game #7 or do they improve? We’ll find out tonight.

It’s been a long time coming and, for a change, the “savior” that was set to come in late in the season actually … Read more

There isn’t much to say anymore. Just win the fucking game. Michael Bunting will likely draw back into the lineup, the only question is who comes out.

David Alter has his version of the “Question of the Day” here: I’ll call that a fair question. With the way we saw the DOPS and refs treat Nazem Kadri, while considering the fact that Bunting is a rat and a whiney little s*^t much the same, wouldn’t it be conceiveable that he gets suspended … Read more

The work starts here!! It’s finally time for the players on this team to put up or shut up. Perhaps more importantly, the same can be said for the President, GM and Head Coach, as they’ll be the first to be shown the door if we’re on the verge of witnessing yet another 1st round … Read more

The Leafs dropped a 2-1 decision to Boston on Thursday. Some are pointing to the Leafs performance as evidence that they can keep up with and possibly beat Boston in the playoffs. It’s odd to look at a loss that way, but to each their own. My take is that the star players (Morgan Rielly … Read more
