Seattle Kraken Expansion Draft

Just going to drop a little news here on the day of the expansion draft:

Leafs Nation erupted after seeing this video leak from Seattle that appears to show them recording the teams selection of Alex Kerfoot:

However, word grew that they were recording multiple takes for different players, one of those players being newly acquired LWer (not a centre because he’s terrible there), Jared McCann:

Chris Johnston also has this to say about the situation:

All we can really do is wait until later tonight to see who they have selected from the Leafs.

In other news, names are starting to leak about who the Kraken have signed through free agency:

I’m a big fan of Jamie Oleksiak and hoped that Kyle Dubas could bring him to Toronto this summer. However, it was always a long shot at best, as this management group hates useful players that can fight…… apparently.

Lastly, it also looks like they’ll select Brandon Tanev from the Pittsburgh Penguins. If they do manage to start their draft with Oleksiak, Larsson and Tanev, it’s clear that they intend to ice a roster full of gritty, hard working players.

I admire that.

More to come, stay tuned!!

The Kraken will be selecting newly acuired Jared McCann from the Leafs, according to Frank Seravalli:
