Here we go again, another battle between the best of the North!!
Connor Hellebuyck, the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, had a tough run last game. After allowing 3 goals on 6 shots, he was pulled from the game in favour of Laurent Brossoit. They’ll turn back to Hellebuyck tonight, but I wouldn’t expect another poor showing. He’s simply too talented to have two terrible games in a row.
Jack Campbell will be his counterpart. Campbell has struggled as of late, but the hope is that he just needed to get a win under his belt to start the ball rolling again.
Lineup changes look to be small, as the previously injured Ilya Mikheyev is expected to draw in for Pierre Engvall. Mikheyev is still considered a game time decision, but Engvall stayed late at practice, while Mikheyev hit the showers early, a sign that the swap should be made.
Also, there’s this:
I’m hoping Foligno does well here. He’s a class act and the team could really use more guys that play with their heart on their sleeve in the lineup.
Enjoy the game.
