The Leafs goalie woes continue, as backup (starter?) goaltender Jack Campbell isn’t feeling quite right….. again. Campbells 3 straight starts last week are the most he has managed to string together this season, as the team turns to third string puck-stopper, Michael Hutchinson, in an attempt to stymie the production of the most dangerous duo in the NHL, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
It will be a tall task for Hutchinson, but it’s not completely hopeless. The last time Hutch met the Oilers he posted a shutout. That seems like a lifetime ago, even though it was only at the beginning of this month.
Besides the goalie switch there will be no lineup changes from Saturday, where the Leafs managed a come from behind, overtime victory of the Oilers.
Enjoy the game.
