After a sloppy win in Game #1 against Montreal on Wednesday night, the Leafs returned to the ice last night to play an even worse game against the Ottawa Senators. After the 5-3 loss there were a lot of quotes that I won’t print because they’ve been seen so many times before that they’re now drilled into the heads of Leafs fans. “They need to talk about the lesson and clean things up to play the right way and be tougher to play against while doing the right things on and off the ice” is the gist of it.
It’s known that Jack Campbell will start tonight in place of Frederik Andersen and that has a lot of fans letting out a sigh of relief. Saying Andersen hasn’t looked great in the first two games is an understatement. With a 4.47GAA and 0.839SV%, he isn’t giving the team the confidence they need right now to play the all-offense style that they need to play to win.
Aside from that Alex Barabanov will come out of the lineup with Nicholas Robertson taking his place. Hopefully that gives the coaching staff enough confidence to roll 4 lines. They need that if they want to play the all-offense style of game that they need to play to win.
Enjoy the game. GO LEAFS GO!!
