The Leafs will try to get back into the win column tonight after dropping two games to the Van…couver… Canucks?
That seems like a mistake but let’s move forwards anyway.
Toronto is still 1st in the NHL as far as points are concerned, but there are a few teams nipping at their heels. They’re 3rd in the league in P%, behind Tampa and Vegas, which is a more accurate depiction of where they sit in the standings. If they want to get back on top they’ll have to find a way to ground the Jets (2nd in the North Division in P%) over the next few weeks.
9 of their next 23 games will be against Winnipeg. That includes two separate 3 game series. The first is this week in Toronto, with the second coming in Winnipeg in late April. There will be a few games scattered in between those dates, so both teams will be looking to get off on the right foot tonight.
Head Coach Sheldon Keefe will ice the same roster that played on Saturday night and dropped a 4-2 decision to the Van…couver… Canucks? Seriously!?!?! That’s not a mistake???
Anyway, here’s the lineup:
Jack Campbell is practicing again but doesn’t appear ready to return just yet. The same can be said for Wayne Simmonds:
Lastly, let’s hear a little from the players and coach:
Enjoy the game.
GO LEAFS GO!!
