Game #26 – Leafs @ Canucks: 7pm (EST)

It’s been a bit of a roller coaster over the past week for the Leafs. After dominating the Edmonton Oiler by scores of 4-0, 3-0 and 6-1, they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Vancouver Canucks in what might be the very last area of concern for the team. That is, they don’t often manage a good showing on the second half of a back-to-back when facing a rested team.

I think I’ll offer a pass on that. It’s not exactly a great way to go into a game and, because it isn’t something that happens in the playoffs, it has little to do with the ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup.

They get to show up to tonight’s game rested and ready to go, so a different result will be expected.

There are no updates on the lineup at this time, however, I expect we could see the return of Travis Boyd and Frederik Andersen.

In the meantime I’d like to take a moment to share my condolences to the Gretzky family. I wasn’t lucky enough to meet Walter Gretzky, but those that were unanimously came away with praise.

RIP Mr. Gretzky.

Enjoy the game.
