Well, well, well, the Toronto Maple Leafs put on a clinic in game #1!! With a 5-0 win (the Doorman special!!), everything went their way and they’ll look to do that again tonight.

But don’t tell Tampa Bay head coach, Jon Cooper that, as he has ensured us all that the Leafs didn’t win, the Lightning lost:

From where I was sitting it didn’t look that way, as the Leafs dominated the game, giving the Bolts very little time and space with the puck all night long.

With that said, this isn’t a team that the Leafs can roll over. They’re back-to-back champions for a reason and they’ll come ready to play tonight. The Leafs need to be on their game if they have any chance at taking a 2-0 series lead before heading to Tampa for games 3 and 4.

I’ll say no more than that. I want to believe in this group, as we all do, so we just have to hope that they earn that belief.

Here’s your projected lineup for tonight:

Bunting returns. William Nylander will play again, regardless of having food poisoning yesterday and Engvall will fight through whatever it was that kept him out of practice.

Enjoy the game.

GO LEAFS GO!!
